In 1935, professional heavyweight champ Joe Louis and Buick created a great team effort for Buick advertising. Joe Louis accepted a new 1935 Buick from the Fraser Motor Company located in Detroit, MI. This generated a positive relationship within the African American community for Buicks. 1935-46 Buick models were a popular choice of automobile among African Americans.
